2 March 2009: Equitable Gourmet™ will be exhibiting at the International food and drink event at ExCel, London. With over 1,200 exhibitors from all over the world, IFE is one of the largest trade shows in the UK and is unique in that it focuses on new and innovative product launches. At the show, which runs 15–18 March, Equitable Gourmet Ltd will be presenting its Marigold-labelled Pomegranate Ketchup and Pomegranate Molasses, and will also be launching its exciting and wonderful new range of products featuring Aloe Ferox extract. The range is made by the company’s latest supplier, Cape Town-based Totally Wild Ltd. Working with South African producers is an exciting new development for Equitable Gourmet, and we look forward to this very promising journey ahead.
1 October 2008: Equitable Gourmet Ltd is going to be at this year’s BBC Good Food Show London – 14 to 16 November 2008. Why not treat yourself to the food lovers’ perfect day out! 1 October 2008: Equitable Gourmet is proud to announce the launch of two of its new products under the Marigold brand. The Marigold Pomegranate Ketchup and Pomegranate Molasses were introduced at the Specialty and Fine Foods Fair in Olympia, London Sept 7th to 9th with rave reviews by visitors to the show. 1 September 2008: Equitable Gourmet’s new label design is to be launched in October. As part of its continued efforts to develop the Equitable Gourmet brand, the company’s range of products will be re-launched under its new packaging design at the beginning of October 2008.
August 2008: Equitable Gourmet Ltd and Lebanese distributor Mid-Continental Import have agreed to launch the Equitable Gourmet range of products in the Lebanese market. With a view to developing a presence for the brand in its country of supply, the products are expected to be launched in September of this year at a select number of retail shops.
1 February 2008: Equitable Gourmet Ltd has partnered with arcenciel, a Lebanese NGO, on its "Increasing Lebanese Agriculture Competitiveness" (ILAC) development project. ILAC is a project funded by the Ministry of Economy and Trade and USDA (the United States Department of Agriculture) that aims to develop the national and international markets for small and medium-sized producers by strengthening their capacities and supporting them at different levels so that they can better respond to market needs and demand." 5 November 2007, London: The Equitable Gourmet web shop has opened for business! To celebrate the launch of the shop, and given the time of year, we have put together a range of gift boxes with the most popular combinations of products, arranged in a fantastic (reusable) wooden presentation box. Alternatively, you can select one of two sizes of wicker basket and fill them with your own selection. As an extra incentive, enter "EARLYBIRD" in the checkout coupon box and receive an extra 5% discount on orders placed before 25 November. After Christmas, the whole range will be available for general orders, which means that if you don’t live near one of the increasing number of outlets stocking our products you will be able to order online and have them delivered straight to your door.
3 October 2007, London: Marissa-Catherine Carrarini reviews Equitable Gourmet’s range at www.hippyshopper.com. As well as finding that our "wholesome moussaka or loubieh (green beans in tomato sauce) taste steps ahead of most jarred dishes", Marissa-Catherine says "my personal favourite has to be the Makdous (pickled aubergine and walnuts) – softly salty and a tiny bit sweet – this is good stuff indeed." 5 June 2007, London: In a feature article on the opening of the new Whole Foods Market in the London Evening Standard, Michelin-starred chef Raymond Blanc and nutrionist Dr John Briffa review a number of companies and products, giving top ratings to Equitable Gourmet™ and its Loubieh and Moussaka products, with a score of 4 out of 5 stars from each. 11 May 2007, London: Equitable Gourmet™ is pleased to announce that our products will be available at the brand new Whole Foods Market store opening in London on 6 June at the former Barkers department store in High Street Kensington. While a familiar sight in the US, the Whole Foods Market store will be the first for the company in the UK, and will be the largest shop of its kind in the country.
2 April 2007, Beirut: The Lebanese paper The Daily Star writes that Equitable Gourmet™ producer Olive Trade has won two prizes in an olive-oil competition at Beirut’s 14th annual Horeca hospitality and foodservice trade show. In a taste test of competing small- to medium-sized extra virgin olive oil producers, their "Zejd" took first place in best commercial brand and best label.
